Say hello to Flaming Bros Burbank, where everyone is giving you breaking news and spilling tea, one headache at a time!
Yes, it’s all about the newsboys – in this case, new bros. From the anchors to the crew members ;)
Lol this is probably the most offbeat idea ever. In fact, I almost said, “Screw this idea; it’s too controversial.” But thank God I didn’t, because to be fair, there are DOZENS of reality franchises focused on realtors in the real estate Industry (Million Dollar Listing and Selling), and there have also been shows about bishops and pastors (Preachers of LA, and Preachers of Detroit), and women in the medical community (Married to Medicine). So, a Flaming Bros series about queer men from the local news seemed more than fair lol
Enter Flaming Bros Burbank (of FBBurbank, for short), where the gays aren’t spilling tea; they’re BREAKING tea!
Burbank is another Los Angeles-based installment in the Flaming Bros universe, and as with San Fernando, Burbank is more specific.
But despite being a filming destination (it’s where you’ll find Nickelodeon Animation Studios, Cartoon Network Studios, Warner Bros Studios, and Walt Disney Studios), as well as being the home of West Coast Customs, and being North of Universal Studios Hollywood, Burbank is not really acknowledged on its own city, by tourists or locals.
For one thing, it’s another city within the San Fernando Valley, just like the City of San Fernando! And as with the City of San Fernando, I’ve been in Burbank to work, visit family and friends, and just hang out. And during the pandemic in late 2020, when I was doing delivery work in Burbank (via Doordash, Grubhub, Postmates, and Instacart), it always stood out to me how clean and well-kept Burbank was. And that’s still the case today! It’s a really beautiful city, and if I could afford to live alone, I would probably live in Burbank, without a doubt.
And of course, despite being based in Burbank, cast members are not required to live within Burbank. Near or around is totally fine; they just need to be a part of the news community. Buuuuuut, that doesn’t mean that journalists in general can’t find a place on this show.
Now where could this show air? Well, that’s easy: first-run syndication. And in the case of Los Angeles, it would so funny trying to decide which location TV station gets the show first. KCBS? KNBC? KTLA? KABC? KTTV? KCOP? The possibilities are endless!
